Roses bring out the elegant side of Valentine’s. They’re a wonderful gift to give to the ones you love. Roses steal the show when it comes to decor. They fill the room! And on a tablescape, they look even more elegant. Let’s look at some creative ways we can incorporate roses on our Valentine’s Tablescape.
Red rosebud in a China cup
This crimson, silk, red rosebud is the centerpiece of this place setting. It changes a white set of China to a vibrant look. And it brings out the subtle floral pattern and gold trim.
The Valentine’s Tablescape
I transformed my Christmas table into a Valentine’s tablescape by making a few simple changes. I kept my existing China plates, flatware, charger, and goblets. I did the same thing for the runner, white porcelain centerpiece, candles, and garland. I added one rosebud to each coffee cup. Changed the ring on my napkin. And replaced the pinecones with rosebuds in my garland. Finally, I added a paper cutout glitter heart in the floral centerpiece.
Rosebuds, The Center of Attraction
The color in these roses is so vibrant. I intentionally chose the full bloom look. They are pops of color where you don’t need to do much more than that. The eye draws to the beautiful contrast of red and green in the garland.
The Formal Valentine’s Tablescape Look
Along with the rosebuds, the red in the napkins compliment the overall look. Crystal goblets and gold-trimmed flatware is a nice accent. While the foe dark brown wicker chargers balance the look.
Hostess Challenge: I know so many people who don’t like to use their formal China. But dust it off and have some fun with it. You’ll be surprised that just by playing around with different looks, how your creativity will shine!
