5 Simple Tips To Decorating A Valentine’s Tree

One of the things I love about Valentine’s is that you can use a lot of your Christmas decor. It also gives us an excuse to keep our tree up longer! Let’s dive into 5 simple tips for decorating a Valentine’s Tree

1. Transform your Christmas tree to a Valentine’s tree

My color scheme is crimson, champagne, and hints of pink.

Although traditional Valentine’s colors are red, white, and pink, you can transform your Christmas tree with whatever your Christmas colors are. The rules of just staying red have evolved to the focus being Valentine’s themed rather than just the colors. Keep your basic non-themed ornaments, ribbons, and lights as your base. And add hearts and roses to your existing non-themed decorations.

2. Incorporate Hearts

The heart is the main symbol of Valentine’s. There are all kinds of ways to incorporate the heart. I am loving the oversized ornaments. They really make a statement. Your decorations can be a full heart, an ornament with hearts in it, heart sprigs, or a heart topper.

3. Incorporate Roses

These silk rosebuds are full and bloomed and really stand out.

I placed silk, crimson rosebuds last in the tree not only as fillers, but also as a pop of elegance and beauty. By simply removing the rosebuds from the stem, it made it easy to place them in empty spaces.

4. Incorporate outward sprigs and ornaments

When I was growing up, I don’t recall sprigs that stuck out from the tree. It has become very popular. I almost feel like it’s not complete without them now! This is another opportunity to add hearts or roses to your tree. Push your sprigs far enough in where the stem won’t show and they won’t fall out.

5. Incorporate ornaments with sweet sayings

Reading sweet sayings like “Love each moment” on this ornament warms my heart.

Having sweet sayings on your ornaments adds an extra element of interest to your tree. And makes you want to stay and look at it longer. This is a fun trend that I hope stays around for a long time!
